MyrNIX
MyrNIX is used against ants, silverfish, bedbugs, cockroaches, and other crawling pest insects within the arthropod category. It can be applied anywhere ants and other crawling pests are found, such as kitchens, pantries, basements, patios, storage facilities, and other storage areas. MyrNIX is a pure natural product made from finely milled fossil stone powder (diatomite/diatomaceous earth). The powder sticks to the pest’s outer exoskeleton/waxy layer, which it destroys, causing the pest to dry out — therefore, pests cannot develop resistance.
MyrNIX is KRAV-certified and recommended and used by Anticimex.
Instructions
For crawling insects indoors: Apply MyrNIX (7 g/m²) into cracks and crevices, such as behind baseboards and cabinets where insects hide, along their trails, and directly on the insects if possible. Create a barrier treatment by applying MyrNIX (7 g/m) in a line 1–3 cm wide (max 2 meters per day) at insect entry points and trails. Repeat the treatment if needed, no sooner than 7 days later.
For ants outdoors: Apply 5 g of MyrNIX evenly over the entrances of each ant nest. Create a barrier treatment by applying MyrNIX (7 g/m) in a line 1–3 cm wide along ant entry points and trails. Repeat the treatment if necessary when the product has been removed by ants (no sooner than 24 hours). Maximum 3 treatments per nest.
For red chicken mites in chicken coops: Before application, the coop must be empty of poultry and cleaned. Then apply MyrNIX (50 g/m²) on all surfaces, cracks, crevices, and pathways where mites may hide. Apply directly on the mites if possible. Repeat treatment if needed, no sooner than 7 days later. Treatment can be done both preventively and during active infestations.
The best effect is achieved when the product is dry. MyrNIX can be dissolved in water but may clump. The product’s effectiveness returns once the water evaporates.
Active ingredient: 100% Diatomaceous Earth
CAS: 61790-53-2
Reg. no: 5754-1-1
Authorization class: 1 So, 2, 3.
Note: Use insecticides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
MyrNIX is supplied in a specially designed bottle with a nozzle for easy application on hard-to-reach surfaces, containing 200 g (net).
FAQ
MyrNIX can be used anywhere ants and other crawling pest insects occur, such as kitchens, pantries, basements, patios, warehouses, and other storage areas.
MyrNIX can be used in greenhouses, between baseboards, on stone slabs, and similar places.
For best results, you should avoid airing out the room while the powder is spread on, for example, the floor. It is possible to air out, but the powder may be dispersed to other places than where the treatment is intended, which could reduce the effectiveness.
MyrNIX is effective against all pest insects in the arthropod group that have a hard outer exoskeleton, such as ants, silverfish, cockroaches, bedbugs, carpet beetles, and more.
It is possible to mix MyrNIX with water and then brush or spray the solution, as the product regains its effectiveness once the water has evaporated. MyrNIX does not fully dissolve in water or ethanol and can clump. It is better to dilute with ethanol since it evaporates faster than water.
As long as you can see the powder, it remains effective. If it has been left for a very long time, dust particles may settle in with the MyrNIX, and it might then be a good idea to replace it.
It temporarily loses its effect but regains it again once it dries.
No. It may cause dryness in the throat or eyes similar to ordinary dust.
