Dosage
| Substance | Iron(II) sulfate (1:1) heptahydrate |
| Form | Light green crystals |
| Specific density | 1,1 t/m³ |
| pH value | 3.6 (in water: 400 g/l at 20˚C) |
| Maximum dose in drinking water production | 50 g Fe/m³ (according to KIWA/ATA) |
| Odor | Odorless |
Solubility
| Water Temperature | Solubility | Density |
| 10°C | 400 g/l | 1,20 kg/l |
| 20°C | 500 g/l | 1,25 kg/l |
– The solution freezes at -2 °C regardless of concentration.
Synonymous trade names: Ferrous Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate Heptahydrate, Iron(II) Sulfate, Iron(II) Sulfate Heptahydrate.
Chemical Analysis
| Fe2+ | 17,6 % | Pb | 0,1 ppm |
| Moisture | 4 % | Cd | < 0,03 ppm |
| Insoluble matter | 0,09% | Hg | < 0,01 ppm |
| Ni | 39 ppm | Cr | 7 ppm |
| Hg | < 0,1 ppm | As | < 0,1 ppm |
| Zn | 59 ppm | Sb | < 0,1 ppm |
| Cu | 0,6 ppm | AOx | < 2 ppm |
Note: Avoid getting Melstar T on paving stones, concrete surfaces, or decorative stone, as it may cause staining that is very difficult to remove. Do not walk on treated areas until fully dry. Do not exceed the recommended number of applications per season for best results. Overapplication may cause damage—ensure adequate water is used during mixing.
