halkNIX
halkNIX is an effective anti-slip grit for icy and slippery surfaces, gentle on both the environment and animal paws. It is a natural product made from small crushed grains of fired and expanded clay – Leca® Lightweight Aggregate. Easy to dose and spread evenly, halkNIX does not cause staining and is harmless to plants, animals, concrete, and drainage systems.
Instructions
Remove loose snow, then spread a thin layer of halkNIX over the icy surface. Once the snow and ice have melted, you can collect and reuse the grains if they are still in good condition. Otherwise, simply add them to compost, scatter them on your lawn, or wash them away with a garden hose.
1 liter of halkNIX covers approximately 10 m².
