Description
FerroGent 30 Granulat
FerroGent 30 Granular is a granulated iron sulfate for crops and turf areas. Iron sulfate helps strengthen the grass, making it greener and more resistant to disease. FerroGent 30 Granular also promotes the growth of fine-leaved grass species. The product is easy to apply thanks to its granulated form.
Instruction
Apply directly in its granulated form – do not dissolve in water. For best results, apply when it’s windless to avoid spreading the granules onto surfaces that may become discolored. Best applied March–May and September–November.
Dosage
These dosage instructions apply only to FerroGent 30 Granular (monohydrate with 30% iron) and not to the previous product FerroGent Granulate.
- Lawns and grass areas after mowing: 15–30 g/m²
- Blue hydrangeas: 20 g per plant
To counteract iron chlorosis
- Rose bushes: 10–15 g per plant, spread from the stem and at least 20 cm outward
- Ornamental plants: 25 g per plant, spread from the stem and at least as wide as the branches
For all other uses and dosages, follow current industry practices.
Note! Do not get iron sulfate on paving stones, decorative gravel, wooden decks, outdoor furniture, clothing, or other sensitive surfaces, as it can cause staining. In case of discoloration, oxalic acid can be used for removal. Avoid walking on freshly treated surfaces.
These general recommendations should be adjusted according to local conditions such as climate, application method, and plant requirements. All information provided in this product sheet is without guarantees. The user must verify the product’s suitability for their intended use.

FAQ
No, rain is not required, but moisture is essential for the product to be absorbed by the lawn. Without moisture, there is a risk of scorching the grass. A heavy morning or evening dew may be sufficient. On warm, sunny days, we recommend watering the lawn at the time of application to ensure safe and effective absorption.
Yes. Wait 2–3 days between applying FerroGent 30 Granular and fertilizing.
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before allowing pets onto a lawn treated with FerroGent 30 Granular. The product needs a thorough rain or heavy watering to dissolve fully into the soil. Once it has been absorbed and the lawn has dried, it is safe for both humans and animals to walk on. Until then, pets should be kept off the treated area.
FerroGent can be used every other month, provided you follow the instructions carefully and avoid over-application. Make sure the lawn is not dry, and do not apply during hot or sunny conditions. Apply before expected rainfall or water thoroughly after application.
FerroGent helps suppress moss by strengthening the grass, boosting photosynthesis, and increasing the lawn’s growth and competitiveness. If your lawn is mostly grass, it’s best to let the grass naturally outcompete the moss by improving lawn health through scarifying, overseeding, topdressing as needed, and regular fertilization. If your lawn is heavily infested with moss, you may use a moss rake or dethatcher about a week after applying FerroGent to remove dead moss. Then continue with standard lawn care practices like scarifying, overseeding, topdressing, fertilizing, and mowing.
Yes. Other plants may be damaged by FerroGent if not handled properly. It can burn leaves and foliage, just as it can affect grass under incorrect conditions. If the product accidentally contacts other plants or surfaces, rinse thoroughly with water immediately.
