Description
AlgNIX
AlgNIX is an effective and Nordic Swan Ecolabelled cleaning agent that is gentle on people, materials, and the environment. AlgNIX keeps surfaces free from growth, grease, soot, and dirt for a long time. It does not bleach or discolor surfaces and is both long-lasting and odorless. It can be used as long as the temperature is above freezing and no rain is expected for a few days.
AlgNIX is recommended for both untreated and painted outdoor surfaces such as roofs, wooden decks, façades, fences, stone pavings, outdoor furniture, awnings, and more. It can be used on surfaces made of wood, plaster, concrete, brick, stone, asbestos cement, plastic, and fiberglass. Asphalt felt, aluminum, and other light metals may become dull—rinse treated surfaces with water within 24 hours.
AVOID using AlgNIX on limestone, sandstone, or other acid-sensitive surfaces. For such surfaces, Tercol is recommended.
Instructions
Shake well before use. Spray (using a low-pressure sprayer), brush, or roll on a thin layer of AlgNIX until the surface is saturated, and allow it to work for at least 3–5 rain-free days. Apply AlgNIX to a dry surface at temperatures between 10–25°C for best results.
On weather-exposed surfaces with moderate buildup, no aftertreatment is usually needed, as AlgNIX combined with wind and weather removes remaining deposits over time.
For heavy buildup or growth, brush and rinse with water after 3–4 weeks. Repeat treatment as needed or for a longer-lasting effect. Porous surfaces (like stone, concrete, etc.) require a longer treatment time than smooth surfaces.
The green growth residue often changes color to brown after treatment, but it will disappear over time. It may take longer for growth to come off porous surfaces (such as stone paving, concrete, etc.) than smooth surfaces. Avoid splashing on plants as Tercol can cause temporary discoloration of the leaves. Any splashes can be rinsed off with water. Brushes and tools should be cleaned with water.
Dosage
Mix 1 part concentrate with 4 parts water. For heavy growth or extensive surface contamination, reduce the water ratio to 3 parts for faster and more powerful effect. Average coverage is approximately 0.5–1 dl of ready-mixed solution per m². One litre of concentrate covers up to 100 m².
Note: Always start by testing on a small, inconspicuous area to ensure the desired result. Green algae and growth may turn brown after treatment – this is normal and will disappear over time. The product does not bleach or discolor the surface. If sprayed onto plants, rinse immediately with water to avoid discoloration. Do not walk on the treated area until completely dry – wait at least 24 hours.
